This renovation to Berth 223 included removing the existing bulkhead and relocating a new bulkhead. By doing so, our team created a deep-water berthing facility for unloading liquid cargo. Additionally, we relocated an existing hose tower and repositioned pressure piping from the tower to the yard distribution system.
The new bulkhead consists of 1,100 feet of high-modulus HZ combination steel H-pile and sheet pile, with concrete encasement, coating, and sacrificial anodes. Our services included planning, surveying, permitting, design-build, material testing, and tenant/project coordination for this marine structure renovation.
