Gary Schneider

Gary Schneider, P.E.

Vice President

Gary Schneider has more than 37 years experience in planning, design, construction management and project administration of numerous complex civil port and waterfront engineering projects throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean. Mr. Schneider has directed the planning and design of major cruise pier projects in Grand Turk, the Dominican Republic, Cozumel, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as the largest and most modern shipping container complex in the U.S. His expertise extends from initial planning to project completion, including project design and management.

Mr. Schneider has also led the planning and design efforts for waterfront projects at the Mayport Naval Station in Jacksonville, Florida, the former Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, South Carolina, and worked for three years as lead consultant engineer for Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Over a seven year period, beginning in 1995, Mr. Schneider served as lead consultant engineer for the Port of Tampa and as chief engineer for projects at the Port of Pensacola, Port of St. Petersburg, Port Manatee, Port of Miami, Port of Houston, The West Indian Company in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands Port Authority, Aruba Ports Authority, St. Lucia Port Authority, and various other projects throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

Stephen Walton

Stephen Walton, P.E.

Principal

Stephen Walton has more than 33 years of waterfront construction and engineering experience. Mr. Walton is a waterfront structural engineer with extensive and diverse expertise in construction planning and engineering of marine and harbor works, including bridges, piers, subaqueous pipelines, cruise ship terminals, and deep foundations. He has a strong background in geotechnical and marine engineering and possesses sound engineering and practical judgment in both anticipating and solving engineering and construction-related problems and determining the objectives and requirements for a successful project.

Stephen Swingle

Stephen Swingle, P.W.S.

Senior Environmental Scientist

Mr. Swingle is a senior environmental scientist with 34 years professional working experience in the areas of aquatic and terrestrial ecology and development of impact assessments for waterfront projects. His professional experience includes work on water and sediment quality studies; marine and freshwater resource characterization, mitigation design, permitting and monitoring; endangered/threatened species survey and relocation; Environmental Assessment (EA) and Environmental Impact Study (EIS) preparation; and environmental permit and consent order negotiations.

Mr. Swingle also has 34 years of environmental resource assessment experience including development of practical solutions to minimize impacts from development projects such as large-scale dredging operations. His primary focus involves coastal environments including major port and harbor projects. Areas of specialization include natural resource assessment and management, environmental assessment and permitting, and public education and involvement. Mr. Swingle is also accomplished in the areas of fisheries, salt marsh, seagrass, mangrove and reef ecology.
